License Requirements
Greek law requires a valid driving license to rent and operate an ATV in Santorini. Requirements vary by engine size:
- 300cc ATV: A full car driving license is accepted. Minimum age 23.
- 450cc and 520cc ATV models: A full car driving license is required. Minimum age 24–26 depending on the specific model.
If you’re unsure whether your license qualifies for a particular model, our team is happy to check before your trip — just reach out via phone, WhatsApp, or email before booking.
How Booking Works
Reserving your ATV with EasyRide Santorini takes just a few steps:
- Choose your pickup and drop-off locations from our list of 19 points across the island — airport, port, your hotel, or a fixed location such as Fira Cruise Port.
- Select your pickup and drop-off dates and times to match your travel plans.
- Pick your ATV model from the available options and confirm your reservation.
- Arrive at pickup — no prepayment is required. Bring your driving license and, if requested, a credit card for security purposes.
There’s no complicated paperwork and no need to visit an office in advance. Your ATV will be ready and waiting at the location and time you selected.
Where You Can Pick Up Your ATV
We offer pickup and drop-off across Santorini, including:
- Santorini Airport (JTR)
- Athinios Port (all ferries)
- Fira Cruise Port (top of the cable car)
- Your hotel in Fira, Firostefani, Imerovigli, Oia, Kamari, Perissa, Perivolos, Karterados, Messaria, Megalochori, Monolithos, Pyrgos, Emporio, and Akrotiri
- Vlychada Bay
Airport and port pickups are especially convenient if you want to start exploring the island as soon as you land or dock, without arranging separate transport to a rental office first.
Exploring Santorini by ATV
An ATV’s higher clearance and stability make it a great match for some of Santorini’s more adventurous routes. Popular options among our customers include:
- Beach access routes to Red Beach, Vlychada, and other spots less accessible by regular scooter
- The southern coastal roads, ideal for combining beach stops with scenic riding
- Akrotiri and the lighthouse, especially rewarding at sunset with an ATV’s added stability on the approach roads
- Inland village routes through Pyrgos, Megalochori, and Emporio, where wider tires handle uneven surfaces with ease
If comfort over longer distances and a stronger sense of adventure are priorities for your trip, an ATV is often the better fit than a scooter.
Safety on Santorini’s Roads
ATVs are built for stability, but a few precautions will make your ride safer and more enjoyable:
- Always wear the helmet provided with your rental
- Take extra care in busy pedestrian areas like Oia and Fira, especially at sunset
- Reduce speed on gravel, sand, or loose surfaces common on beach access and inland routes
- Carry water and sun protection, particularly if riding during midday in summer
- Allow extra room when overtaking — ATVs are wider than scooters, especially on narrow village roads
Every ATV in our fleet is inspected and serviced regularly, so you can focus on the ride rather than the mechanics.
ATV vs Scooter: Which Should You Choose?
If you’re deciding between an ATV and a scooter, it usually comes down to the kind of trip you’re planning:
- Choose an ATV if you want maximum stability, extra ground clearance for beach and dirt routes, and a stronger sense of adventure.
- Choose a scooter if you’re prioritizing fuel efficiency, effortless parking, and a lighter, more budget-friendly way to move between towns.
Both options are available at all our pickup locations, and our team can help you decide based on your itinerary if you’re not sure which fits best.
